Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Southfield

We came here for a date night and to escape our kids lol. Upon arrival, I stood waiting to be greeted by guest services, while they chatted on about something with another guest. I was instantly irritated for being ignored. After they finished chatting, the guest service attendant checked me in because unfortunately, online check-in was not available. The hallways were very noisy throughout the evening, maybe because of the pool usage but after the pools closed, it was much quieter! The room was clean, clean bathroom and linen and served its purpose, for the night. Overall descent experience!

Stayed here for a night. Front desk staff was very polite and got me checked in fast. I had a king room with sofa I enjoyed the set up. What really made my overall experience and got them this review was Mary at the Bistro Bar she was amazing super nice and service was great! The wings and fries were good as well.

Rooms are pretty organized and clean, no weird odor. Staff seems to be friendly and helpful. However elevators do need to be a little updated, noticed they were concerning creaking and they do shut hard, delayed with reopening and opening in general. Other than that, place is very quiet and not many people.

This Hotel makes me feel right at Home it’s quiet and clean

I had an adequate stay at the Courtyard Marriott Southfield recently, as I was traveling to the area for business purposes. The gentleman who checked me in, Jonathan, was extremely friendly and hospitable. He recommended some nice places to visit during my stay in the area . The room was nice. I had a single king bed with small couch and desk. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room television was quite large. The hallways were quite loud during the evening hours, even after the pool closed for the night.

I don’t understand all the bad reviews. I didn’t see any construction and the lobby was beautiful and clean. Only issues I had was they didn’t accept my Bonvoy membership because of third party booking, but I never had an issue before. Also the elevator was located at the very back of the hotel. It’s only 2 stories it would easier and quicker to park near the door closest to your room and take the stairs. Other then that I love the room and they all had balconies with with chairs. Here is a few pictures I had gotten into bed already so the sheets are a bit shuffled.

Went to see a friend there. The Lounge area was nice and clean. They also had good Starbucks coffee.

Our room was ok. We had 2 rooms and they was not next to each other. The Representative said after she gave us our rooms that we should have told her we wanted them together. I would think if you reserved 2 rooms, you would want them to be next to each other but now we know to ask before they give us our rooms. We didn't have a patio screen so that wasn't good at all and the window and drapes was so dirty. We barely had body wash. I wished we had the newer room but they were full. I can't wait to the renovations are done. Overall, we had a great time.
